Suite à l'induction de l'expression du transgène, le mammifère non humain transgénique présente une hyperinsulinémie, un gain pondéral accru pour un régime cétogène et/ou une teneur réduite de glycogène dans le muscle pour un régime cétogène comparé à un animal témoin n'exprimant pas le transgène de la GSK-3. L'invention concerne également des procédés d'identification de modulateurs in vivo de l'activité GSK-3.
