Zusammenfassung:A scanning confocal microscopy system and apparatus, especially useful for endoscopy with a flexible probe which is connected to the end of an optical fiber (9). The probe has a grating (12) and a lens (14) which delivers a beam of multi-spectral light having spectral components which extend in one dimension across a region of an object and which is moved to scan in another dimension. The reflected confocal spectrum is measured to provide an image of the region. L'invention concerne un système de microscopie confocale à balayage laser, particulièrement utile pour l'endoscopie, qui comprend une sonde flexible reliée à l'extrémité d'une fibre optique (9). Ladite sonde comporte un réseau (12) et une lentille (14) qui libère un faisceau de lumière multi-spectrale présentant des composantes spectrales qui s'étendent dans une dimension sur la région d'un objet, et est déplacée afin d'effectuer un balayage dans une autre dimension. Le spectre confocal réfléchi est mesuré afin d'obtenir une image de ladite région.
