METHOD FOR DETERMINIG WHETHER A FLUID IN AN AIR-CONDITIONING OR REFRIGERATION SYSTEM HAS BEEN ALTERED

A method for determining whether a fluid in an air-conditioning or refrigeration system has been altered is revealed. The method comprises preparing a non-radioactive label for a fluid used in the system, where the fluid is selected from a lubricant, a fluorescent dye and combinations thereof; adding a known quantity of the label to the fluid to form a labeled mixture of the fluid; performing an analysis of the labeled mixture to obtain a base-line profile of the labeled mixture; adding the labeled mixture to the system; providing the system to a user or customer; thereafter, performing an analysis of the fluid in the system to obtain a test profile; and determining whether the fluid in the system has been altered by comparing the base-line profile with the test profile of the fluid in the system. L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination de l'altération éventuelle d'un fluide dans un système de conditionnement d'air ou de réfrigération. Ce procédé consiste à préparer un marqueur non radioactif pour un fluide utilisé dans le système, dans lequel le fluide est soit un lubrifiant, un colorant fluorescent ou une combinaison des deux, à ajouter le marqueur au fluide afin de former un mélange marqué, à réaliser une analyse du mélange marqué afin d'obtenir un profil de ligne de base du mélange marqué, à ajouter le mélange marqué au système, à fournir le système à un utilisateur ou à un client, à réaliser, par la suite, une analyse du fluide du système afin d'obtenir un profil d'essai, et à déterminer si le fluide du système est altéré par comparaison du profil de ligne de base avec le profil d'essai du fluide dans le système.
