La présente invention concerne un nouveau procédé pour préparer en grande quantité un composé d'imidazopyridine substitué de formule (I) dans laquelle R est un alcoxy C1-C6 ou un groupe NH2, ce procédé consistant notamment à faire réagir un composé de formule (2) avec un composé 3-halo-2-butanone dans de la cyclohexanone.
