4-SUBSTITUTED D-GLUTAMIC ACID DERIVATIVES FOR USE AS ANTIBIOTIC

Compounds of general formula (I), in which: X represents a bond, O, S, SO or SO2; and R represents a (1-10C)alkyl, (2-10C)alkenyl, (2-10C)alkynyl, (4-10C)alkadienyl, carboxamido(1-8C)alkyl or aminocarbonyl(1-8C)alkyl group which is unsubstituted or substituted by (3-10C)cycloalkyl or by one or two unsubstituted or substituted aromatic groups, or an ester or amide thereof, or a salt thereof are inhibitors of glutamate racemase and are useful as antibiotics. L'invention concerne des composés représentés par la formule (I), un ester ou un amide ou un sel de ceux-ci, utilisés comme inhibiteurs de glutamate racemase et comme antibiotiques.
