Zusammenfassung:A software suitability testing system (Fig. 2) using a software product line engineering approach for analyzing and testing commercial, off-the-shelf software products (202) to determine the software product's capabilities (204). A software product is evaluated and tested against a predefined set of criteria requirements (208), and the results are published on the World Wide Web. The test results are made available to customers such that the capabilities of a particular software product (214) are readily available to the users (216) and that competing software products can be compared.
