Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a cDNA which encodes TIMM8b-related protein. It also provides for the use of the cDNA, fragments, complements, and variants thereof and of the encoded protein, portions thereof and antibodies thereto for diagnosis and treatment of cancer, particularly breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and kidney cancer; and neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Mohr-Tranebjaerg syndrome, epilepsy, spasticity, and dystonia. The invention additionally provides expression vectors and host cells for the production of the protein and a transgenic model system. L'invention concerne un ADN complémentaire codant pour une protéine associée à TIMM8b. Elle se rapporte également à l'utilisation de cet ADN complémentaire, de fragments, de compléments et de variants dudit ADN complémentaire, ainsi qu'à l'utilisation de la protéine codée, de parties de cette protéine et d'anticorps dirigés contre celle-ci dans le diagnostic et le traitement du cancer, notamment du cancer du sein, de l'ovaire et du rein, et des troubles neurodégénératifs tels que le syndrome de Mohr-Tranebjärg, l'épilepsie, la spasticité et la dystonie.
