METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR HARDWARE SIMULATION

A system and method for simulating a networked system for testing of embedded software on an emulated hardware device. The system provides for automated generation of a simulated hardware and facilitates testing of embedded software response to simulated error conditions created by the simulated hardware. Communications from the embedded software are intercepted at a low software level and redirected from the emulated hardware device to the simulated hardware. L'invention se rapporte à un système et à un procédé de simulation d'un système en réseau permettant de tester un logiciel intégré sur un dispositif matériel émulé. Le système assure une génération automatisée d'un matériel simulé et permet de tester aisément la réponse du logiciel intégré aux conditions d'erreurs simulées, crées par le matériel simulé. Des communications provenant du logiciel intégré sont interceptées à un niveau logiciel faible et redirigées du dispositif matériel émulé vers le matériel simulé.
