Zusammenfassung:	In an illustrative embodiment of the present invention, a hearing aid device is tethered to a selector module via a cable. A keypad of the selector is pressed to program the hearing aid device with a particular acoustical format. More specifically, a command generated by the selector module is received at the hearing aid test unit to program a corresponding acoustical format. Consequently, a hearing impaired patient can reprogram the hearing aid device to compare which of multiple formats provides an optimal response for use. Dans une forme de réalisation exemplaire, l'invention concerne une prothèse auditive reliée par un cordon à un module sélecteur. Un clavier du sélecteur est utilisé pour programmer la prothèse auditive selon un format acoustique particulier. Plus particulièrement, une commande émanant du module sélecteur est reçue au niveau du bloc de contrôle de la prothèse auditive pour programmer un format acoustique correspondant. Ainsi, un patient déficient auditif peut reprogrammer la prothèse auditive afin de déterminer lequel de nombreux formats fournit une réponse optimale à l'usage.
