METHOD FOR THE DEMILITARIZATION OF AMMUNITION

The invention relates to a method for defusing and recycling ammunition. According to the invention, a chamber inside the ammunition, which is either used to accommodate an ammunition firing device or to ensure the operation of said device or to displace structural elements of the ammunition at the moment of firing or necessary to the normal operation thereof, is filled with a substance which is able to solidify and to ensure the demilitarization of said ammunition. The substance which is able to solidify is injected into such a chamber in liquid state; injection of the aforementioned substance is accompanied by removal of gases from said chamber. After providing to the chamber with a required quantity of the substance which is able to solidify, the requisite conditions for the solidification thereof are created. L'invention consiste à injecter dans une cavité de la munition, destinée à accueillir un dispositif de mise à feu de la munition ou à en assurer le fonctionnement, ou encore à déplacer des éléments de structure de la munition lors de la mise à feu, ou, enfin, nécessaire à son fonctionnement normal, une substance capable de se solidifier en assurant la démilitarisation de la munition. La substance capable de se solidifier est injectée dans cette cavité à l'état liquide; l'injection de ladite substance s'accompagne de l'évacuation des gaz depuis la cavité. Après avoir fourni dans la cavité une quantité nécessaire de la substance capable de se solidifier, on assure les conditions nécessaires à sa solidification.
