Zusammenfassung:	A composite drill bit (10) comprising a shank member (12) having a bore (18) disposed therein and an insert (26) which is disposed within the bore (18) such that a portion of the insert (26) protrudes from the shank member (12). The insert (26) is rigidly secured within the bore (18) of the shank member (12) through the use of an ambient cure adhesive (32). Cette invention se rapporte à un foret composite (10) comprenant une tige (12) dans laquelle est disposé un passage (18) et une pointe (26) rapportée qui est placée dans ledit passage (18), pour qu'une partie de celle-ci soit saillante par rapport à la tige (12). La pointe (26) rapportée est fixée de façon rigide dans le passage (18) de la tige (12), à l'aide d'un adhésif (32) durcissant à température ambiante.
