Zusammenfassung:	A free pivot for use in conjunction with a reclining seat. The reclining seat includes a base frame having a first side and a second side, and a back frame (22) having a first end (26) and a second end. The first end of the back frame is pivotally coupled to the first end of the base frame by a reclining mechanism. The free pivot includes a tubular fitting (30) coupled to the second end of the back frame and a mandrel (32) carried by the second side of the base frame. The mandrel is rotatably received by the tubular fitting. L'invention concerne une charnière libre utilisée en conjonction avec un siège inclinable. Le siège inclinable comprend un cadre de base ayant un premier et un deuxième côtés et un cadre arrière (22) ayant une première (26) et une deuxième extrémités. La première extrémité du cadre arrière est couplée par charnière à la première extrémité du cadre de base au moyen d'un mécanisme de couplage.
