Zusammenfassung:	An approach is provided for automatic location-based imaging. A platform receives, over a communication network, positional information corresponding to a location of a device associated with a user. The platform determines whether the location is within a zone including a pre-positioned camera and retrieves one or more images or sounds of the user from the camera based on the determination. The platform can receive the positional information in real-time or as cached positional information. The cached positional information can then be correlated with the one or more images at a later time.
