Zusammenfassung:	A device for culturing, storing and expanding adherent renal cells. The device permits the adhesion and proliferation of the cells and the surface characteristics of the membrane material used in said device further permit the cellular matrix components (EMC). A method for expanding adherent renal cells and methods of using particular membranes for culturing, storing and expanding adherent renal cells. The membranes comprise a copolymer of acrylonitrile and sodium methallyl sulfonate as well as polyethylenimine.
