Zusammenfassung:	A lifting and lowering apparatus includes a support plate, a carrier for lifting and lowering a window glass and a drive mechanism for moving the carrier. The drive mechanism includes a cable, a drum, a pulley and a bracket for mounting the pulley to the support plate. The support plate is provided with first and second fixing portions. The first fixing portion is arranged at an outer side of the cable and the second fixing portion is arranged at an inner side of the cable. The bracket includes first and second mounting portions provided for the first and second fixing portions respectively. The first mounting portion includes a first extension portion making contact with an outer surface of the first fixing portion and the second mounting portion includes a second arm portion making contact with an inner surface of the second fixing portion.
