Zusammenfassung:	A liquid crystal display includes a first substrate including a thin-film transistor ("TFT") disposed in a unit pixel, a first electrode connected to the TFT, and a second electrode disposed on the same layer as that on which the first electrode is disposed, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates, where the first and second electrodes include a first wiring electrode and a second wiring electrode, respectively disposed on sides of the unit pixel, first main electrodes and second main electrodes, respectively branched off from at least one of the first wiring electrode and the second wiring electrode in a first direction and are arranged in a staggered manner, and first slit electrodes and second slit electrodes, respectively, which are arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and are arranged in a staggered manner.
