Zusammenfassung:	A liquid crystal display includes a display area (DA) in which an image is displayed and a peripheral area (PA) disposed in a vicinity of the DA, a first substrate disposed in the PA and a second substrate facing the first substrate, at least one column spacer part disposed on the first substrate, a light blocking member disposed on the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a seal formed at circumferences of the first and second substrates, the seal coupling the first substrate and the second substrate to each other and confining the liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the light blocking member includes at least one dam formed therein, the at least one dam being disposed in the PA and including at least one opening part formed therein.
