Zusammenfassung:	A coating composition, a method for coating a substrate and a pipeline are provided. The coating composition includes at least one epoxy resin and at least one functionalized elastomer. The functionalized elastomer includes an elastomer being grafted with acid anhydride-based groups. The method includes steps of applying the coating composition to the substrate, and curing the coating composition so as to obtain a coating. The pipeline includes a pipe and the coating formed from the coating composition coated on the pipe. The coating has improved flexibility, and improved heat and chemical resistance.
