Zusammenfassung:	The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as a long term evolution (LTE). The present invention relates to a method for selecting, by a device, a peer discovery resource (PDR) in a device-to-device (D2D) communication system, the method comprising the steps of: determining a PDR selection range which can be selected by the device; and selecting a PDR in the determined PDR selection range.
