The method also includes determining a maximum angular velocity of the impeller when the impeller is rotated at the reduced power and adding liquid to a tub of the washing machine appliance if the maximum angular velocity of the impeller when the impeller is rotated at the reduced power is less than a threshold angular velocity. |
