Zusammenfassung:	A cell counting device for counting the number of cells in a sample includes: an accommodation portion that accommodates, in a removable manner, at least a part of a holding member for holding the sample; and a display unit configured to display information including a result of counting of the number of cells. The display unit has a screen inclined with respect to a bottom of the cell counting device. The bottom is configured to be in contact with a placement surface on which the cell counting device is placed. The display unit is provided between the accommodation portion and the bottom.
