Zusammenfassung:	A device and a method for winding a roving onto bobbin tubes using a turret winding head is provided. The turret winding head has a turret base plate having a first and a second spindle that are held in the turret base plate and are provided for receiving the bobbin tubes. The turret base plate and the spindles are each provided with their own drive. The longitudinal axes of the spindles are aligned in the vertical direction.
