R1>,R2> : H, 1-18C alkyl, 3-15C cycloalkyl, 6-15C aryl or 7-15C or phenylalkyl; R3> : -CN, -COOH, -COOR4>, -COR5>, -OCOR8>, -CONR7>R8>, -PO(OR8>)2, -O-R1>0>,-S-R1>1>-R1>2>, -CC-R1>3> or halo; R4>-R6> : 1-18C alkyl, 3-12C cycloalkyl or 6-10C aryl; R7>,R8> : H, 1-15C alkyl (optionally substituted by 1-4C alkylamino, 2-8C dialkylamino or hydroxy), 7-15C phenylalkyl (optionally substituted by hydroxy, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkylamino or 2-8C dialkylamino) or 6-10C aryl (optionally substituted by 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkylamino, 2-8C dialkylamino or hydroxy); NR7>R8> : morpholino, piperidino or pyrrolidino; R9>-R1>1> : H, or 1-15C alkyl, 3-15C cycloalkyl, 7-15C phenylalkyl or 6-15C aryl (all optionally substituted by hydroxy, dialkylamino, -OR1>4> or -[O(CH2)y]xH); x : 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10; y : 1, 2, 3 or 4; R1>4> : 1-6C alkyl; R1>2> : 2-pyridyl, 3-pyridyl, 4-pyridyl, 2-thienyl, 3-thienyl, 2-pyrryl, 3-pyrryl, 2-furyl, 3-furyl or 6-15C aryl (all optionally substituted by hydroxy, nitro, amino, cyano, carboxy, aminocarbonyl, halo, 1-8C alkyl, 1-8C alkoxy, 1-8C alkylthio, 1-8C alkylamino, 2-8C dialkylamino or 2-8C carboxylic ester);and R1>3> : H, 1-12C alkyl, or 6-10C aryl (optionally substituted by hydroxy, nitro, amino, cyano, carboxy, aminocarbonyl, halo, 1-8C alkyl, 1-8C alkoxy, 1-8C alkylthio, 1-8C alkylamino, 2-8C dialkylamino or 2-8C carboxylic ester). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) composition, which comprises benzenone derivative (A) and cyclopentadiene compound (B); and (2) usage of benzenone derivative (A) for inhibiting polymerization of cyclopentadiene compound (B).
