Zusammenfassung:Ejection mitigation devices are disclosed that limit, prevent, or otherwise mitigate vehicle occupant ejection through the roof of a vehicle in events involving roof failure. The ejection mitigation devices are to be installed at the roof of the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The devices include a canopy having sufficient strength to restrain movement of a vehicle occupant through the canopy. The canopy is configured to be attached to one or more roof rails of the passenger compartment at a position interior to the outer roof skin.
