Zusammenfassung:	The present invention generally relates to methods for removing silica or silicate deposits comprising contacting a cleaning composition with a surface in contact with a liquid containing silica or silicates, wherein the cleaning composition comprises a salt of a nitrogen base having a fluoro inorganic anion. In particular, these methods for removing silica or silicate deposits can be used in steam generators, evaporators, heat exchangers, and the like that are used in produced water plant unit operations.
