Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a cushioning system having an adjustable contoured surface, the system comprising a panel, a plurality of cells; and attachment means for detachably attaching one or more cells to the panel at any location on the panel and in any orientation relative to the panel to provide the contoured surface. The contoured surface is determined by the number, shape, size, position, and orientation of cells on the panel. Optionally, the cells can be attached to each other and stackable upon one another.
