Zusammenfassung:	An example product configuration system includes a Configuration Input Manager that receives a selection of configuration parameters from a system user and coordinates obtaining input from the external information sources regarding the selected configuration parameters. Requests for input are transmitted along a plurality of communication channels individually selected for each configuration parameter. The Configuration Builder then assimilates the various input, such as the collective knowledge, opinions, preferences, experience, and other input provided by the external information sources, and compiles that information to generate a plurality of proposed product configurations that are consistent with the information provided.
