The stopper portion is configured to be received at least in part within a bottle. The stopper portion has a wooden inner part and a polymer outer part. The head portion has a second width that exceeds the first width. Continuities in the wooden inner part strengthen the mechanical connection between the polymer outer part and the wooden inner part.
