Zusammenfassung:	In a vehicle that includes an electrically heatable first catalyst EHC (140) in an exhaust passageway of an engine and a second catalyst UFC (145) disposed downstream of the EHC, an ECU (150) predicts that the load following starting of the engine will be higher than the load that corresponds to the exhaust gas purification capability of the EHC, and starts an engine motoring control of forcing the engine to turn via an electric motor (S32), if, during a pre-heating control of electrically controlling the EHC prior to starting of the engine, the demanded drive force F is greater than a predetermined value F1 and the amount of increase F of the demanded drive force F per unit time is greater than a predetermined amount F1.
