The control unit is mounted on the support structure. The first operating lever is operatively connected to the control unit to operate the control unit. The first gear is rotatably mounted on the support structure about a first axis. The second gear is engaged with the first gear, and is rotatably mounted on the support structure about a second axis. The second gear includes indicia indicative of a plurality of states of a bicycle component.
