Zusammenfassung:	Systematic comparisons of samples of adjacent clinically non malignant and tumor tissue from cancer of the gingivo buccal complex obtained during surgical resection of the tumor revealed significant differences in protein expression between the cancer tissue and the adjacent clinically non malignant tissue in each patient. This study has identified a set of new proteins which can differentiate between the epithelial tissue from cancer patients which may be useful for high-through put early detection, prognosis, and potential targets for therapy.
