Zusammenfassung:	A novel starch-based composition includes: (a) at least 45% by weight of at least one soluble starch, (b) at most 55% by weight of at least one non-biodegradable, non-amylaceous polymer, and (c) a bonding agent carrying at least two functional groups capable of reacting with molecules carrying functions including an active hydrogen, these amounts being expressed with respect to solids and relative to the sum of (a) and (b). A method for preparing such a starch-based composition and a thermoplastic composition prepared by heating such a composition are also described.
