Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed is a silicon containing compound represented by Formula 1 which has high optical anisotropy and high compatibility with a polymer resin. Also, a resin composition including the compound and a polymer resin, and an optical member including the resin composition are disclosed. Since the silicon containing compound represented by Formula 1 has high compatibility with a polymer resin and high optical anisotropy, in the case of an optical member obtained by using a polymer resin composition including the silicon containing compound, there is no phase separation, and it is possible to achieve a required optical characteristic with only a small amount thereof.
