Zusammenfassung:	Glycerophosphate salts have been found to hasten the healing of wounds and minimize the formation of scars, particularly when it is first applied to a wound about 0 to about 7 days after the wound is inflicted. Methods and compositions are provided for treating wounds using a composition comprising an effective amount of glycerophosphate salt. In particular, methods are provided for treating wounds using calcium glycerophosphate (CGP), for accelerating the healing process, reducing pain and scar formation, and for the cosmetic reducing, excision, erasure and/or complete repair of scars (scar revision).
