Zusammenfassung:	Methods, control systems, and vehicle are provided for controlling a vehicle that has a rechargeable energy storage system (RESS). A method includes storing with a control module a chosen outside air temperature (OAT) that is based on data from an OAT sensor and a cooling cycle of the RESS, and controlling the vehicle with the chosen OAT when a cooling cycle of the RESS is indicated. The control system and vehicle include control modules configured to perform the method.
