Zusammenfassung:	A method of assisting in handling a print medium on a spindle, said spindle being operatively connected with a motor, said method comprising the following steps: rotating said spindle by an outside force in a first direction when handling the print medium, said rotation generating an electromotive force in said motor in a second direction, opposite to said first direction; and causing the motor to apply a torque in said first direction, said torque being proportional to the electromotive force generated in the second direction by the rotation of the spindle.
