Formulations of fluorescent whitening agents in dispersed form

The present invention relates to an aqueous dispersion containing (a) a fluorescent whitening agent, (b) a dispersing agent, (c) a -1,3-glucan and, optionally, (d) a vat dye and the use of the aqueous dispersions for whitening synthetic fibers, in particular polyester and polyacrylonitrile.
