Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to the use of a composite material having two or more superimposed layers of wood as a support element in structural engineering, nautical, vehicle and aircraft constructions, energy production systems, mining or in the production of furniture. The wood layers are joined together by means of a one component polyurethane adhesive containing a prepolymer with free NCO groups and the wood has a structure having a volume fraction of libriform fibers of between 50%-70%.
