Zusammenfassung:	A standard and shelf support are provided for supporting one or more shelves at selected elevations from a vertical surface. The standard has a rear wall, and first and second mounting walls being spaced apart and extending from the rear wall. The first and second mounting walls define a channel that is open to the front of the standard. At least one of the first and second mounting walls defines a plurality of spaced apart notches which are not visible from the front of the standard, and the notches are adapted to receive a retention member on a shelf support.
