Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a process for identifying and authenticating an object. The object includes an identifier which has a code region and a scattering region and is irradiated with electromagnetic radiation for identifying and/or authenticating the object, in such a manner that the electromagnetic radiation reflected by the code region is used for identifying the object and the electromagnetic radiation reflected by the scattering region is used for authenticating the object. In addition, the invention relates to a device for the parallel identification and authentication of an object.
