Zusammenfassung:	A method for the encapsulation of contaminant particles on the surface of a component. The method includes encapsulating the contaminant particles with an organic coating such that the contaminant particles are immobilized. The coating enables the immobilization of particles having a particle size of less than 0.5 μm. The method is particularly useful in the manufacture of precision devices, such as disk drives.
