Zusammenfassung:	Apparatus and methods for controlling the flow of a pulp suspension from a container in which the pulp is processed or stored are disclosed. The container is pressurized to a first pressure and includes an outlet for the pulp suspension, a pump includes an inlet and an outlet, and the pump inlet is connected to the container. The pulp suspension is fed from the inlet to the outlet of the pump and provides a controlled decrease in pressure to which the pulp suspension is subjected in the pump during such transport, and the flow from the container is controlled by adjusting this controlled decrease in pressure.
