Zusammenfassung:	A joint compound container including a body having a generally trough shape formed from two opposing planar side walls separated from one another by a planar floor, and opposing end walls. The container also includes a reinforcing band attached to the body and configured for reinforcing each of the side walls and the end walls where the reinforcing band is displaced from an upper edge of the body only by a distance sufficient to define a scraping edge extending upwardly beyond an upper edge of the reinforcing band and where the scraping edge is formed by the upper edge of the body and supported by the band.
