Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a polyacrylate which as a result of a polymerization process has a broad, bimodal molecular weight distribution. These acrylate pressure-sensitive adhesives are preferably processed from the melt. The low molecular weight fraction lowers the flow viscosity, while the high molecular weight fraction results in the achievement of a high shear strength, following appropriate crosslinking, for the acrylate pressure-sensitive adhesive.
