The parts of the material composite are joined by way of an intermediate piece. The intermediate piece likewise comprises a region made from steel or a titanium-based material and a region made from a copper-based or aluminum-based material, which are connected by explosion welding. The parts of the material composite are connected to the regions of the intermediate piece which are in each case of the same type by means of a fusion or diffusion welding process.
