Zusammenfassung:	A powder press for compacting a compressible mass into a rigid and dimensionally accurate body has a base, a first sleeve part in the base and having an inner surface, and a second sleeve part movable in a predetermined direction on the base adjacent the first die part between an inner position and an outer position. The second part has an inner surface forming in the inner position with the first-part inner surface a cavity open outwardly in the direction. A piston shiftable in the direction in the cavity can compact the mass therein. An actuator can shift the second part in the direction relative to the first part between the inner and outer positions.
