Zooming is performed by the independent movement of the first lens group G 1, the second lens group G 2, the third lens group G 3, and the fourth lens group G 4 along an optical axis. Image stabilization for mitigating camera shake is performed by the movement of the fourth lens group G 4 along the direction perpendicular to the optical axis.
