If a user links to a new view while there are unsaved changes in the current view, the system may offer the user to display the new view in a separate window. In other aspects, the system displays the new view in a separate window if there are unsaved changes in the present view. The user may link to the new view for example by clicking on a hyperlink, using a navigation button in a portal, clicking the back button in a browser, or by typing an address into an address field.
