The method involves distributing software to a number of network elements. A gateway network element receives an initialization request and opens download channels to receiving network elements. The receiving network elements confirm access to the download channels and a software download is initiated simultaneously for multiple network elements. Cascaded download channels may be established for receiving network elements not in direct communication with the gateway network element. |
