Also disclosed is an oral care composition comprising: a calcium metasilicate having an aspect ratio (average major axial diameter/average minor axial diameter) of from about 1:1 to about 2.5:, and an oil absorption of from about 20 ml/100 g to about 220 ml/100 g, a disintegration aid, an organoleptic enhancing agent, and an abrasive.
